Celebrating God’s Blessings
This
was the theme for the fifth anniversary service at Lighthouse
Baptist Church. With great anticipation all the members worked
together to decorate, prepare music and food, and invite
friends and family to attend. On anniversary Sunday night
more than eighty adults, teens and children crowded into
our small auditorium to enjoy a delicious pot-luck meal,
special music, and a challenge from God’s Word. We
were excited to see so many unsaved adults in attendance
and know that they have at least heard the gospel once. It
was encouraging to our people and has helped them begin to
catch a vision of working together to reach the lost and
build a work that will glorify the Lord.
Prayer Pact
Several of the members at Lighthouse are ladies with unsaved
husbands. Sometimes people in this situation tend to be more
passive and not talk to their family about church and other “religious” things
for fear of upsetting harmony in the family. Recently, however,
two ladies in the church shared with us about how they read
the Bible to their unsaved husbands. They really have a great
desire for them to be saved. As the two ended their discussion,
they made an agreement to pray for each other’s husband
to be saved. We can’t wait to be able to share the
good news of their salvation with you! Please pray about
this as well as for the unsaved family members of our other
Christians.
As Christmas approaches we ask you to remember our special
services at Taya and Lighthouse. We hope to once again be able
to share the true meaning of Christmas with many unsaved Chinese
people. We also hope that each of you enjoy a blessing filled
Thanksgiving and Christmas with your church and family!
For
souls,
