A Good Idea
This Mother’s Day we decided to try something new at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Since our children’s Bible class is on a Wednesday afternoon, we invited the mothers to come and attend a special program. We did not really know how this idea would go over, but prepared some games, a craft and a special snack that the moms and children could do together. To our surprise, we had over fifty attend including fifteen moms and one grandmother. The children quoted a poem about a mother’s love and presented a skit about the many “hats” moms wear. We shared a gospel lesson that day as well and know that for some it was the first time to hear of God’s love for them. Please pray that we may be able to continue to reach these families with the gospel.
In Prison
This month we have had the chance to get into the Central Taiwan Regional Prison and preach to over 500 inmates. Each week a different group of men are allowed to attend. Most had never heard the gospel before, and so our presentation had to go from the creation to the cross. They are a “captive audience” so there are some who scoff and others who are skeptical but each time an invitation is given there are those who seem to respond out of sincerity. Only the Lord knows whether the decisions made are real or just “jailhouse conversions” but we hope that when they are able to get out at least some will follow up on their decision or remember the message of hope and seek help. It is so sad to see so many ruined lives, but we thank the Lord for this open door. Please pray that the Lord will bless and give more opportunities even though the seed sown may take a long time to bear any visual fruit.
“The Lord Added”
The Lord blessed at Taya Bible Baptist Church this past month as one single adult lady, Joyce Tsai, was baptized and two teens were saved. We are excited as one of the teens, Sean Yang, is our neighbor and younger brother of the teen who was recently baptized. Their mother also made a salvation decision in their home and has been doing discipleship lessons but has yet to attend church. Please pray for the spiritual growth of these new Christians as well as for the salvation of Sean and Steven’s dad.
Finally, we ask you to join us in praying for the following important summer outreaches:
Youth Camp - July 5-8
VBS - July 26-30
May the Lord reward you for your faithfulness to His work and burden for souls around the world!

For souls,

 Andy & Lisa Simpson
