According To His Purpose
On June
12 while attending a college graduation service for a church
teenager, we received a phone
message that fellow
Taiwan missionary Malcom Feistel’s daughter, Susan Mallett,
had tragically drowned in waters off the southern coast of
the island. From that moment until a week later, we seemed
to be in a state of shock while at the same time trying to
offer comfort and assistance to the Feistels and their son-in-law
who flew to Taiwan because of the death of his wife. After
a memorial service in Taiwan, the Feistels returned to the
United States for the funeral as well as time to meet with
and comfort their other children and family members.
Then, on Sunday morning, June 20 while driving our motor scooter
to help with the services at the Feistel’s church, Andy
had an accident. His right shoulder and knee were injured and
will take a few weeks to recover. However, in these few weeks
there is much to be done as we are now responsible for youth
camp and need to help the Feistel’s in several other
areas. Needless to say, we are not sure why this has all happened
at this time; but we are trusting God to work these things
together for good according to His purpose. At this time we
really need your prayers for wisdom, strength and comfort.
We also ask you to pray for the Feistel family and for the
Chinese Christians in our churches who have been affected by
this tragedy.
For
souls,

Andy
