Wanted: Men for the Lord
Thank
you for your prayers for our short trip to the US . Our main
purpose was to attend a wedding and take care of some needed
business, but it was also good to see family and friends and
to visit a few of our supporting churches. We were encouraged
and refreshed by those who not only have been praying and giving
but also faithfully serving the Lord while we do the same in
Taiwan. As we were able to be in a few churches and share
the progress of the work, we challenged them to pray that we
would see more men saved and surrender their lives to the Lord's
will. This prayer request is on the heart of all the missionaries
and Chinese pastors in Taiwan . We praise the Lord for the
women who have accepted Christ and are faithfully serving the
Lord, and we certainly need more ladies to be saved; but there
is a great need for men . Without men to serve
as pastors and teachers the works will not grow stronger, become
indigenous, and enable us to plant more churches and plan regular
furloughs.
Reports from the works in Taiwan while we have been in the
states have been good; there have been some visitors and our
people have been faithful while helping to serve in many areas.
This has provided them with some invaluable growing experiences
and given them insight to the ministry. We look forward to
returning in just a few days and getting back into this ministry.
Please pray for our safe return and health as well as for wisdom
to reach more people and help them grow in the Lord.
Finally, thank you for the Christmas cards, gifts and offerings.
We are grateful for these expressions of your love and count
it a privilege to serve the Lord and represent your church in
Taiwan !
For
souls,
