What
Every Giver and Church Leader Should Know About . . .
CHARITABLE GIFTS
Charitable (adj.): Generous in giving financial or other
aid to the needy.
Giving, for Christians, is a profoundly spiritual issue
and helps fulfill the need to respond to the overwhelming
needs in "Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the uttermost
parts of the earth" (Acts 1:8). We want to plant churches,
win people to Christ, and minister to these hurting people
by caring for widows and orphans. The person who is a generous,
sacrificial giver has most likely learned to trust God
and has discovered in giving the joy of the Lord.
Want to make a donation
to this needy ministry? Here's how!
1) Make your check payable to BBFI Missions.
It is important that you include a note stating that the
support
is for "Haas/Cambodia." Our office handles funds
for many missionary families so it is imperative that
you
indicate "Haas/Cambodia." (The
following address is for financial contributions only.
Personal letters and mail should be sent to the Springfield address.)
Mail your check to:
BBFI Missions Office
P.O. Box 802757
Kansas City, MO
64180-2757
USA BBFI Missions is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
charitable organization recognized by the IRS.
All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
2) Or, you may use PayPal to
make a donation to the Haas' ministry in Cambodia by clicking
on the PayPal
button.
When using Paypal, you are making a donation directly to the Haas family personally. This
method is not tax-deductible. If you would like a receipt for Schedule
A on your tax returns, please use the first method and send your gift to the
Baptist Bible Fellowship Missions office as described above.
(In fact, about 70% of taxpayers do not receive any tax
benefit from charitable giving because they do not itemize
deductions on their income tax returns (Form 1040, Schedule
A). )
