Ministry Support Needs

March 2006 REPORT

Dear Praying Friends,

We are rejoicing over the great number of souls saved during 2005! Over 150 souls were saved in the ministries of our two churches. We baptized 40 new believers during 2005. Our churches are growing and young men are being called to preach. Two families in our church are seeking the Lord’s will about going to a nearby SE Asian nation with the gospel. To God be the glory for these blessings!

We are still trying to raise the funds to finish our church building. We require $7,800 to finish the building project. $2,800 of this is needed by the 10th of March, so please pray for this very immediate need. The contractor needs his money. Please pray that God will supply this need in the next ten days. Then pray that the remaining $5,000 will come in so that we can finish the top floor and roof of the church.

The Lord is really burdening our hearts to do more for the orphans and widows of Cambodia. Next door to our church is a piece of land that we would like to purchase for this ministry. Real estate prices are going up and up around here now that it seems that the political situation is stabilizing. This land will cost us about $12,000 and then the cost of the building project which is in the $35,000 to $45,000 range. We would use this property to build an orphan and widows’ home. It would be a place where the orphans could have a real place to call home and godly widows would be cared for and given a purpose for living. They would have their own ministry to the orphan children, helping to raise them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Please pray about helping us make this ministry a reality.

One of the ladies in our church is 78 years old. Her unsaved children have thrown her out of their house and persecute her for her faith in the Lord. It is the responsibility of the church to care for these widows. They have no one to love them, feed them, and take care of them. There is no Social Security in Cambodia. With no one to care for you, you die. And there are many others like her.

We have a new church starting up in Kandal province under the leadership of a young couple in our church. Their names are James and Srey Ny. James believes that God has called him to start this new work. After a month, they have 40 children and 24 adults attending. Pray for them and this new work. They are taking a team down there to minister to the people.

In Christ,
