Dear Praying Friends,

Daily we are faced with the task of reaching great numbers of people in Taiwan who believe in gods that have eyes but cannot see; gods that have ears but cannot hear.  The majority of the people of Taiwan are greatly influenced by the moral teachings of Confucius, Buddha, or Lao-tze.  Through these moral teachings they believe one may find the road to true happiness. 

We praise God, for the six souls saved at Daya Bible Baptist Church since July.  Then at the TanDz Bible Baptist Church, we praise God for the seventy-eight precious people who have prayed the sinners prayer, and the eight who have followed the Lord in believers baptism. Thank you for giving to missions!

The churches in Daya and TanDz each had their first “Faith Promise” missions emphasis month in October.  “We Care” was the theme in Daya.  Our prayers are that the Christians here will care enough to take the gospel of Christ to others.  God blessed again with our folks having promised around $325 (US dollars) per month for missions.  The church in TanDz was also blessed as they promised to give approximately $265 (US dollars) per month to missions. 

Our sending church has called for the ordination of our son, David.  We are so blessed to be asked to participate in this special event.  Therefore, we will be back in the States for a few weeks.  Please pray for the churches here as it is quite difficult to leave them at this time of year.  Co-laborers, Andy and Lisa Simpson will oversee the work in Daya while we are away. Please pray for God’s blessings upon them for physical strength and wisdom.

Thank you for sending us here with the message of the Saviour which tells the people of Taiwan there is only “One” way to find real, everlasting happiness.  Please continue to pray that more people will hear and receive the message of the One True God who can change the heart of immoral man.
