Dear
Praying Friends,
Greetings from Hong Kong! Chinese New Year is coming up in
February and this whole region of Asia gets real excited. It's
very similar to the atmosphere of the Christmas season in America.
Homes and offices are decorated with lots of red because red is a color
of celebration in the Chinese culture. In fact, one of the
traditional decorations is when they paint red around the front door
posts of their homes with some type of good fortune message written
inside. It reminds us that sometime ago back in history they knew
that seeing the "blood of the Lamb" on the door post was a reason
to celebrate! As you would imagine, this time of year always opens
up interesting dialogue with friends. Please pray that this year
more people will come to understand the finished work of Christ on the
cross and trust Him as their very own personal Saviour.
Our home page has a new family photo. While there's only three of
us in Hong Kong, we wanted to include our two older daughters, Sadie and
April, at least one more time in the picture... they were always such a
help as MK's over here. God blessed us with a special time all
together this past Christmas. God is so good! Sadie is now a school
teacher in Florida, while April is in college in Virginia. We are
so grateful that both of them embrace the goodness of the Lord and walk
with Him daily. Thank you for the investment each of you have made
in their lives through the years and for your continued prayers.
Again, we always consider it a privilege to be a part of your missionary
family partnering together in ministry. May God bless you all!
Serving Him Together,
Ralph, Becky and Halee
