LLOYD AND EDITH BAKER
MISSIONARIES TO THE PHILIPPINES

FEBRUARY 2008

Dear Friends:

The annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of Asian Baptist Clearinghouse was held on February 11, 2008 in the conference room of Bethany Baptist Church, Makati City, Philippines. One of the items of business was adding 3 more members to the Board. There are now 5 Filipino pastors and 3 American missionaries who compose the board. Philippine law requires our Board to be at least 60% Filipino and no more than 40% foreign. We are within that range.

The most exciting part of the meeting was interviewing and accepting 5 new family units for the mission field. These five include 4 couples and one single lady. Amazingly the single lady is 61 years old and going to a RAN country. The board members sat enthralled by her salvation testimony, her call to the field, her knowledge of the difficulties ahead and her determination to go, learn the language and minister to women and children. The board accepted her 100%. She will work with a couple on that field.

Asian Baptist Clearinghouse now services 103 families composed of 82 couples and 21 singles. There are 18 single ladies and 3 single men. These fine missionaries are serving on 33 different fields of the world. Every year since ABC was founded the number of missionaries has increased and the total funds processed has grown. Other groups are asking us the reason for the growth. That’s a no brainer. The only reason is GOD! To Him be the glory!

Once again we are indebted to you for your intercessory prayers and financial support.

Together in His harvest;

Lloyd and Edith Baker
