Dear
Friends:
We were charging down the
runway, engines wide open for the take off from Springfield,
when the pilot suddenly shut down the engines and hit the
brakes. A light indicated one of the three generators on
board had failed. The plane could fly with two but the local
mechanic had to sign off first. After an hour’s delay we
were off for Minneapolis, Tokyo and Manila without problem.
On a recent Sunday night we visited Sta. Mesa Baptist Bible
Church pastored by my good friend, Boyd Lyons. After the
service a young man told me he was my grandson in the faith.
He had been saved at Calamig Baptist Church under Pastor
Juan Daria. Juan worked for me over 35 years ago and he was
saved in our front yard. God called him to preach; he
graduated from our Bible College in Legaspi City and became
pastor of the Calamig church. It was the first time we had
met the young man and he was a blessing. Bread cast upon the
waters returned!
We had a little difficulty adjusting to a different time
zone but that is history and we are immersed in the ministry
here again. Our granddaughter loves the Philippines and has
extended her stay until March 3. We have enjoyed her visit
with us.
Mike and Sandie Reap are taking a 5 months furlough so I am
doing the preaching at Berean Bible Baptist Church in
Paranaque. I am enjoying going through Ephesians and II
Peter.
Thank you for holding the ropes and praying for us. Your
support means a great deal to us especially in these days of
loss of purchasing power because of weakness of the dollar.
God bless you.
Together
in His harvest;
