LLOYD AND EDITH BAKER
MISSIONARIES TO THE PHILIPPINES

February-March 2010

Dear Praying Friends:

The Board of Trustees accepted two.couples and two single men as missionaries using Asian Baptist Clearinqhouse last February 15. Another couple resigned for personal reasons. We now have a total of 197 adult missionaries in 35 countries of the world. July 5-9 we will hold our annual Missionary Training Seminar. Please pray for this intense training period.

March 5-7 Edith and I were in Tacloban, Leyte for the 30th Missions Conference of Grace Baptist Church. Howard Wynn is the pastor. God has used Howard and his family to build a strong mission giving church. The dear folks at Grace promised $66,000 for the next mission year. In addition they promised $21,700 for their building fund. Half of the building fund will go to help construct buildings on the 10 acres of property they purchased for a youth camp. Great things are happening in Tacloban!

March 11-14 we were with the Bible Baptist Church in Cebu. The occasion was the 50th wedding  anniversary of Dr. and Mrs. Armie Jesalva. They have been our friends all their married lives, I was honored to speak in that service. We stayed over Sunday the 14th and I spoke in both of the services. This great church baptized 72 new converts March 7 and 14.

I am glad to report that Noel Faustinorio will be in the Philippines by the time you receive this letter. The 18th was my last day as the fill in preacher and adviser. Thank God that He answered much prayer and Bro. Noel is able to return. Please continue to pray for him and the church.   April 25 Edith and I will be back in Cebu to help Ralph Baladjay, pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Mandaue, celebrate his 44th year in the ministry. Ralph was saved under our ministry in 1962.

Beginning May 2 I will be preaching most every Sunday at Berean Bible Baptist Church in Paranaque, Metro Manila while Missionaries Mike and Sandie Reap take a three month furlough. We have had a long and wonderful relationship with the Reaps and the good people at Berean. We look forward to being with them again.

When we get our reports at the end of each month we are reminded of many who are faithful financial and prayer supporters.

Together in His harvest;

Lloyd and Edith Baker
